Configuring Zoom

  1. As a best-practice security measure, and to make sure that student login’s are properly capture, the Zoom administrator needs to properly enable Authentication only. This forces users to log in in order to join Zoom calls. Connecting DA and Zoom

  1. Log into Degree Analytics App at app.degreeanalytics.com

    1. Note: In order to connect, you must be an “Admin” of a school

  2. Select the “Schools” tab and “Select” your school

3. Select “Zoom: Not Connected”

4. Select “Connect to Zoom”

5. Authorize from you Zoom Account. Note: You must be a Zoom administrator

Note: Degree Analytics requires account-level access in order to dynamically collected analytics of who and when users are joining meetings across your organization. This also requires a Degree Analytic’s Organizational Subscriptiton

6. You should be re-directed back to Degree Analytics and it should say “Connected “

Is it working?

  1. Please work with your Degree Analytics Customer Service Representative to help ensure the zoom integration is properly linking with classes to take attendance. You may also start to see when students are joining Zoom by classes in the Classes section (image below)

Zoom Usage

In order to use Zoom for Class Attendance purposes, you must work with your Degree Analytics customer service representative. In short, your students, class schedule, and course information must be uploaded into the system

To create base Zoom utilization charts, please ensure your DA representative has enabled Zoom as a datasource. If so, you can create a graph on the main dashboard by:

  1. Selecting New Graph

2. Fill in information as provided. Be sure to select Zoom Usage as the datasource, and then hit create!

3. Following those instructions, you should be able to create many different graphs

Uninstalling Zoom Integration

  1. Go to Settings → School → Zoom Connected

  2. Click Disconnect in top right

  3. Click Uninstall from the Zoom Marketplace
